Round 13 WSBL Power Rankings

1. Southlands Boulevarde Willetton Tigers (1st place, 14-1 record) - An overtime win against Perth and come-from-behind victory over the Senators wouldn't have met expectations, despite the absence of Kate Malpass and Ebony Antonio. Will be hoping to be more convincing against Lakeside on Friday.

2. Mandurah Magic (3rd, 11-3) - With six straight victories, the Magic have been on fire since the addition of Hailey Dunham. The biggest test will come against Perry Lakes on Saturday, which will be one of the most anticipated matches of the season.

3. Total Connections Perry Lakes Hawks (2nd, 12-3) - Warmed up for their big clash with the Magic with a huge victory over the Slammers. Their form has been most impressive and they'll be hoping to take a big step towards a top two finish with victory against Mandurah.

4. Glasscraft Wanneroo Wolves (4th, 11-5) - The Wolves are in such impressive form they probably wouldn't have wanted the bye to come. But they should have a top four spot locked in now and have shown in recent weeks they are good enough to be a championship threat.

5. Metropolis Fremantle Cockburn Cougars (5th, 9-6) - Were in impressive form before the bye and will be hoping they can maintain that momentum with a comfortable victory against the under-strength Senators.

6. Australian Central East Perth Eagles (6th, 8-6) - Are still being plagued somewhat by inconsistency and their road form leaves a bit to be desired, but the Eagles are definitely a team that could do a lot of damage come finals time.

7. Kalamunda Eastern Suns (7th, 7-7) - Were in disappointing form before the bye and will be eager to get back on track. A home game against the Flames should be the perfect opportunity too.

8. Perth Redbacks (8th, 6-9) - Played one of their best games of the season before losing in a heartbreaker to Willetton and suffered a narrow loss to the Eagles one night later. If it wasn't for Stirling's injury woes, their finals place might be in jeopardy, but with the Senators missing Rachel Watman, Perth should sneak in.

9. Western Stainless Stirling Senators (9th, 5-11) - The return of Michelle Joy made a huge difference as the Senators were competitive against Willetton on Saturday. Beating Cockburn on the road will be extremely difficult though.

10. Lakeside Lightning (10th, 4-10) - It's hard to win when you give up 89 points, as the Lightning found when they put together a pretty good offensive performance but still lost by 17 to Mandurah. This week's game against Willetton will be very tough.

11. Rockingham Flames (12th, 1-14) - Have become much more competitive in recent weeks and a second win for the season might not be far away. Could test the Eagles or Suns this week if they play to their best.

12. Southwest Slammers (11th, 1-14) - In contrast to the Flames, the Slammers seem to be getting less competitive, as shown by their 54-point home loss to the Hawks. Will struggle to stay close against the Magic this week.
