Week 17 PowerPlayers of the Week

Perth Redbacks forward Adrian Majstrovich has claimed his second PowerPlayer of the Week award of the season after guiding his team to two wins over Perry Lakes and Rockingham which will likely cement his side’s spot in the finals for the third straight year.

Majstrovich received the honours over Australian Central Eagles centre Tom Jervis to claim the Week Sixteen $50 voucher to PowerPlay Sports in Osborne Park.

The Redbacks forward started the weekend with 36 points, 21 rebounds and nine assists on Friday night in a 112-80 win against the Flames. He then scored a team high 28 points along with 10 rebounds the following night in a 109-94 win against the Hawks.

Runner-Up Jervis was equally impressive his side’s 118-103 upset win over Wanneroo, with 30 points, 22 rebounds and four assists to push his side up to sixth on the ladder.

Lakeside Lightning forward Heidi McNeil has won her first PowerPlayer of the Week award of the season after leading her team to a big win over Stirling.

McNeil edged out Mandurah Magic’s Casey Mihovilovich who led her side to a win over Kalamunda and have solidified their top-four position.

McNiel was a dominant force in the 86-56 win with 25 points and 18 rebounds, while shooting 64% from the field. Mihovilovich was unlucky to miss out on her fourth award this season with 19 points, eight rebounds and nine
