Giants appoint Fisher as Head Coach
The Silver Lake Resources Goldfields Giants are extremely pleased to announce former Perry Lakes assistant Dan Fisher as our Head Coach for the 2012 season.
Giants chairman Graham Crew said “Dan comes to us from the extremely strong Perry Lakes tradition where he has served an impressive apprenticeship as a development coach and SBL assistant for the past four years. We look forward to welcoming Dan into the Goldfields community and having him play a pivotal role in what will be a new era for the club.”
Dan Fisher – Coaching Resume:
- 2007-2011 - Perry Lakes Hawks Mens SBL Assistant Coach. Two Grand Final appearances.
- 2008-2011 - Perry Lakes Hawks D-League Head Coach.
- 2006-2009 & 2011-2012 - WA State U/20 Men’s team Assistant Coach.
To compliment Dan’s appointment, the Giants are also pleased to announce the signing of former player and MVP Mike Haney as an assistant for 2012, along with Scott Manton.
Graham Crew said “We are very pleased to announce Mike & Scott as assistant coaches for 2012. Mike’s record as a player speaks for itself, playing a pivotal role in the club’s two championships. Scott is also the ultimate club man having been a player, volunteer, board member, development coach and assistant coach.”
