After 12 months away from the club, one of the Redbacks favourite sons is looking forward to returning to action this weekend at the Pre-season SBL Tournament.

Following a season in the South East Australian Basketball League playing for the Ballarat Miners, shooting guard Jarrad Prior returns to the club a more experienced and mature player. In his first season back from a horrific ankle injury which ended his 2010 campaign early, Prior came off the bench for the Miners to average 6ppg, 2 rpg, and 1spg in limited minutes.

Now fully recovered and back with the club he grew up playing for, "JP" is sure to be welcomed back by Redbacks supporters, not to mention the junior Redbacks players with whom he works extensively.

After two years with the Perth Wildcats as a development player, multiple SBL awards and an all-time top ten scoring performance in the league to his name, Prior will be a welcome addition to the Redbacks backcourt as they continure in their preparations for the 2012 SBL campaign.

Jarrad's first game back in a Redbacks SBL uniform will be this Friday Night, 6.30pm at the State Basketball Centre as the Redback boys open their tournament campaign against the East Perth Eagles. Entry into the Pre-Season Blitz is just $6 per person per day which will gain supporters access to all games for the entire day.
