Slammers women win, men thrashed (Bunbury Herald)

The Collie Crane Hire SouthWest Slammers women’s side claimed back-to-back wins for the first time in at least six seasons after holding on to defeat Stirling 75-69 on Saturday night.

But that promising resultwas not a sign of things to come at the Eaton Recreation Centre — in the late game, the men’s side looked all at sea in their disappointing 37-point loss to the Senators.

Trailing by nine points at quarter time, dominant periods either side of the long break meant the Slammers women had a four-point lead going into the final stanza.
