Week Four Player of the Week

Silver Lake Resources Goldfields Giants forward Michael Haney has picked up the Week four Player of the Week after leading his side to their first win since week one while filling in for the injured Darnell Dialls.

Haney received the recognition over strong efforts from Tigers import Robert Kampman who led his side to a 1-1 weekend.

Giants import Haney stepped up in his sides trip to face rivals Geraldton with 27 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists in the 92-86 win.

Runner-Up Kampman was a strong presence for his team with 29 points and 9 rebounds in a 84-85 loss to rivals Cockburn. He backed that up with 42 points, 7 rebounds & 4 assists in a 115-94 win over Rockingham.

Others in consideration were Taylor Land (Magic), Tom Remmerswaal (Magic), Carlos White (Slammers), Brad Jackson (Lightning), Brian Carwell (Cougars), Matt Wundenberg (Geraldton), Justin Brown (Kalamunda), Tom Jervis (East Perth), James Booyer (Rockingham), Shane Ross (Perry Lakes), Damian Matacz (Wolves, Jackson Hussey (Wolves) & Ryan Neill (Redbacks).

Southlands Willetton Tigers star Jasmine Hooper claimed the Women's Player of the Week with a huge weekend as her side claimed two wins.

Hooper edged out new Rockingham import Emma Cannon who had a massive weekend in just her second game.

West Coast Waves forward Jasmine Hooper was inspirational with 40 points, 10 rebounds & 4 assists in her sides 81-74 win over the Flames. Hooper then led her side with 33 points and 8 rebounds in a 100-70 win over rivals Cockburn.

Cannon was equally strong on the weekend, finishing with 29 points and 21 rebounds in just her second game in WA however her side was unable to get over the Tigers, falling 84-71.

Others in consideration were Zoe Harper (Slammers), Marita Payne (Redbacks), Rosie Tobin (Perry Lakes), Ainsleigh Sanders (Wolves), Sandra Faye-Muller (Eastern Suns), Samantha Norwood (Eagles), Stephanie Jones (Cougars). Lauren Jeffers (Senators), Jessica Seyler (Lightning), Gemma Thomas (Magic) & Valeria Ogoke (Slammers).
