Cougars show Magic (Friday night wrap)
An epic overtime clash between the Cockburn Cougars and the Mandurah Magic saw the Cougars rise to victory 95-90.
The Cougars continue to climb the ladder knocking off fellow top four team the Magic with 14 more rebounds and six more assists.
There were big numbers on the board for Cougars Jeremiah Wilson (31 points, 11 rebounds) and Brian Carlwell with 24 points and 17 rebounds.
Despite a solid effort from Magic's Taylor Mullenax (26 points) and Andrew Bowman (20 points), Brian Carlwell and Jeremiah Wilson led the Cougars to victory in the final minute of over time.
The Wanneroo Wolves remain undefeated on the road after a close call against the East Perth Eagles.
The Eagles made a thrilling last quarter come back however it wasn’t enough to quash to Wolves established lead.
The Wolves were led by Sebastian Salinas (19 points) Damian Matacz (19 points) and a double-double from Greg Hire with 16 points and 15 rebounds.
The Wolves picked up their ninth consecutive win of the season without import Jordan Wild.
In the women's league Eagles took down the Wolves 61-58.
The Wolves now only hold onto fourth position on percentage as the Eagles soar into the top eight.
Wolves veteran Suzanne Williams (18 points) and Waves guard Shani Amos (16) led the way for the Wolves.
The Eagles were led by Kate Fielding (13 points) and Kelsey Maffin (15 points).
The Cougars took down the Magic 70-66 for the Magics seventh consecutive loss this season.
Despite the Magic leading throughout the first three quarters a 20 point last quarter from the Cougars got them over the line.
