Magic sneak over Senators (Saturday night wrap)

An epic overtime clash saw the fourth place Mandurah Magic take down the Stirling Senator 113-108.

The Senators stormed the court with a 31 point first quarter until the Magic bounced back in the second.

Stand-outs were Taylor Mullenax (30 points, 17 rebounds), veteran Aaron Trahair (28 points) and forward Thomas Remmerswaal (20 points, ten rebounds).

They were faced with some fierce competition from Senators Robert Huntington (25 points, ten rebounds) and forward Adhar Mayen with 22 points.

The Kalamunda Eastern Suns defeated the Rockingham Flames 126-97, leaving the Flames with their 11th consecutive loss of the season.

Apart from a brief first quarter challenge the Suns lead the entire game and dominated the boards with 32 more rebounds and 44 more points in the paint.

The Suns were led to victory by import Greg Palmer (27 points, five rebounds), Lee Roberts (19 points, 19 rebounds, eight assists) and centre Justin Brown with 14 points and 13 rebounds.

In the women's league the Flames continue to roar after striking down the Suns 90-86.

A five game winning streak comes to an end for the Suns as the Flames advance with their seventh consecutive win this season with an unbelievable performance from Flames star Emma Cannon with 44 points and 27 rebounds.

A bottom of the ladder clash between the 12th place Magic and the 11th place Senators saw the Magic rise to victory 59-55.

The Magic ended their eight game losing streak coming back from behind at half time to secure their second win of the season, an incredible game from Mandurahs centre Shelley Boston with 13 points and 22 rebounds.
