Basketball WA is excited to announce that new basketball store Kickz101 Perth have joined the State Basketball League as the naming rights partner for the 2012 Grand Finals.

As the “Grand Final Naming Rights Partner” of the State Basketball League, Kickz101 Perth will be involved in the various activities both in the lead-up to and on the night at both the women’s and men’s grand finals.

“Kickz101 Perth is a fresh, new and exciting basketball store and it is all about the Western Australian basketball community and that aligns perfectly with our true state-wide competition” said Competitions Manager Christian Rice.

“In just two years the SBL Grand Finals have managed to fill an extra thousand seats at our new home, which is exciting for the league and WA basketball, and this year we are looking forward to an even bigger event.”

“With Kickz101 Perth on board, we are extremely excited about the opportunities that this partnership presents now, and in the future, for both organisations.”

Since opening, Kickz101 Perth has already developed a loyal following among the local basketball community as the one-stop show for all things basketball in WA.

About the SBL Grand Finals 
In 2011 over 3,000 tickets were sold for the two nights of the SBL grand finals with the men’s grand final becoming the first ever sold-out event at the new $45 million WA Basketball Centre.

As the regular season comes to an end this weekend, the competition is heating up for what promises to be another exciting race to crown the 2012 SBL champions.

The finals run from Friday 3 August through to Saturday 1 September with two weekends of quarter finals, two weekends of semi-finals and one weekend of grand finals.

The 2012 “Kickz 101 State Basketball League Grand Finals” will be held on Friday 31 August (women) and Saturday 1 September (men) at the WA Basketball Centre in Floreat.
