Undefeated Cougars face tough double-header (Women's Week 4 Preview)

Cockburn host Wanneroo at Wally Hagan Stadium on Saturday in what shapes as the potential match of the round as the Women’s State Basketball League swings into top gear.

Both teams enter round unbeaten after three rounds, with the Wolves sitting on top of the ladder with a perfect record from three games.

Cockburn boast a 2-0 record but have the tougher draw this week.

They meet Perry Lakes on Friday before hosting the Wolves on Saturday.

Nikita-Lee Martin has been in fine form for Wanneroo in the early weeks of the season, averaging 19.7 points and 6.0 rebounds a game.

Elsewhere, Perth Redbacks host Stirling on Friday, while reigning champions South West travel to Morley to take on East Perth on Saturday.

Zoe Harper has been one of the Slammers biggest stars in her two games to date, averaging 8.0 points and 12.0 rebounds a game.

The first local derby of the season between Mandurah and Rockingham on Sunday has added spice, with the Flames still winless after their opening two games.

The Magic have fared better so far, with their 2-1 record having them in fifth spot going into round four.

Perth are also winless after two games and face a tricky test away to Lakeside in the final game of the round on Sunday afternoon.
