Vlad Alava to face SBL tribunal

The State Basketball League has received a report from match officials against Wanneroo Wolves Women’s Head Coach Vlad Alava.

The report arose from the Wanneroo Wolves game against the Collie Crane Hire South West Slammers at Joondalup Basketball Stadium on Saturday 20 April.

Alava was charged by the match officials for “Used abusive, threatening, obscene language or gestures” and “Acted in an unsportsmanlike manner in or around the stadium”.

In line with the SBL By-Laws, the report has automatically been referred to the tribunal, with the hearing to take place on Wednesday 24 April.

The results of the hearing will be released on Thursday morning.
