Milestone weekend in week seven action

Fourplayers will celebrate milestones in week seven action, including two players who have reached the 400 game mark.

Lakeside Lightning's Emily Fielding celebrated playing 250 SBL games in front of her home fans on Thursday night.

The former WA junior was a part of the 2005/06 Perth Lynx squad and won a bronze medal with the Under 20 State Team in 2004.

On Friday night Mandurah Magic veteran Tracey Richter will celebrate 400 SBL games as the Magic take on the Cockburn Cougars.

In her 20th season of SBL action, Richter joins an elite list of WSBL players to reach the 400 game mark including Sue Williams and Tanya Kelly.

Richter has played in four Grand Finals during her career, all with Mandurah where she has played 14 seasons. Richter was also a part of the 2002/03 Perth Lynx squad.

Collie Crane Hire South West Slammers legend Aaron Edwards will celebrate having reached the 400 game mark in front of his home fans against the Rockingham Flames on Saturday night.

After retiring in 2010, Edwards returned last season and is now in his 19th season of SBL action where he is providing crucial leadership for player/coach Ty Harrelson and the young, but fast improving, Slammers.

The 195cm swingman has played all but one of his 19 of his seasons with the Slammers and was part of three championships (1995, 1998, 1999).

Also playing a milestone game is Silver Lakes Resources Goldfields Giants player Lordan Franich who will hit the court for game number 250 against Cockburn on Saturday.

Franich has played 166 games for Lakeside, where he won three championships and 83 for the Giants since moving to the Goldfields in 2010.

The SBL congratulates Aaron, Lordan, Tracey and Emily on their milestones.
