Week Fourteen 'Kickz101 Perth' Newcomers of the Week

The Women’s ‘Kickz101 Perth’ Newcomer of the Week has been awarded to Stirling Senators rising star Samantha Roscoe.

Stirling have put together some solid performances recently with star imports Taylor Lilley and Amber Land receiving more support from their team mates and now find themselves in the top eight.

Seventeen-year-old, Sam Roscoe, put together an impressive game on Saturday night to record 12 points, 8 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 blocks in just seventeen minutes of game time as Stirling went on to defeat Mandurah 80-55.

Nicknamed by some as the long arm of the law for her shot blocking ability, 193cm Roscoe, a member of the WNBL West Coast Waves development squad is certain to have a bright future in basketball.

Lakeside Lightning forward Darrel Morgan has been announced the Week Fourteen ‘Kickz101 Perth’ Men’s Newcomer of the Week.

The top placed Lightning put on a clinic at home on Saturday Night thrashing Willetton by forty points on the back of a stellar individual performance by young star Darrel Morgan.

Morgan could not be contained by the Tigers as he scored 21 points which included four triples to go with 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 5 steals in just twenty-four minutes of game time.

Twenty-two year old Morgan has continued to improved his game after obvious work in the gym to increase his body size and working with the Perth Wildcats as a member of their development squad in 2012/13.

If Morgan continues to fire alongside the likes of Prue, Cecil and Beran the Lakeside Lightning will go a long way to winning the 2013 SBL Championship.

Morgan and Roscoe are now in contention for the monthly award where the winner of a facebook poll receives a pair of shoes of their choice thanks to Kickz101 Perth.
