Martin joins Waves for Melbourne Clash

Wanneroo Wolves star guard Nikita-Lee Martin will join the Alcohol. Think Again West Coast Waves tonight as they take on the Melbourne Boomers at Willetton Basketball Stadium.

Martin, a 123 game WNBL player with the Waves, AIS, Adelaide & Sydney Uni, last played in the WNBL in the 2011/12 season with the Waves.

The 25 year old joins the Waves to replace the injured Kate Fielding, who has suffered a stress fracture.

The Waves will look to continue their improvement from recent weeks as they continue to work Shani Amos & Nat Burton back into the squad after injuries.

Tonight's game at Willetton continues the Waves Association engagement program. Last season the Waves successfully hosted a game at Lakeside with Willetton getting ready to host this seasons Association game.

Tickets are available at the door from 6:30pm.

The Waves return to the WA Basketball Centre on Friday 20 December when they host the Townsville Fire in the last game of 2013.
