Coaches look ahead to Week 10 of the SBL

SOME SBL men's and women's coaches shared their thoughts about their upcoming matches this weekend in Week 10 of the 2014 season.

WOMEN'S
ORANGE AUTOS ROCKINGHAM FLAMES
Coach – Ryan Petrik

Understand that the Redbacks are in the middle of a rebuild, but their form for the most part has been better of late. We've got some areas to address after the Wolves and Tigers exposed some areas last weekend that we weren't happy with, and will look to playing a lot more in sync than our last outing.

MEN'S
VORIAN AGENCY EAST PERTH EAGLES
Coach – Adam Forde

This weekend we face the hottest team in the league. The South West Slammers are on a five-game winning streak and have taken some big scalps.

MANDURAH MAGIC
Coach – Jason Chalk

We are under no illusion that this weekend’s games against Lakeside and the Hawks is a season defining weekend for us. We have made too many excuses such as injuries instead of understanding where our strengths and weaknesses are.

We will be aiming to be much more disciplined on the offensive end and more aggressive on the defensive end in both games this weekend against tough opposition.

PERRY LAKES HAWKS
Coach – Charles Nix

It doesn't get any easier for us this weekend. We now have a double header weekend against the third and fourth placed teams in Joondalup and Mandurah.

Sitting at 5-5 now, this weekend is vital to us staying in touch with the elite teams in the competition. The exciting thing with these two teams are that they play completely different to each other and we'll have to make adjustments from game to game, it's a test that I'm looking forward to seeing how we react.

I'm confident that we'll attack each contest the right way and we'll be able to look back at the weekend on Sunday knowing that we did everything we could to be successful. I have complete faith in the guys to execute the plan and apply the right attitude.

ORANGE AUTOS ROCKINGHAM FLAMES
Coach – Mark Utley

We get a chance to play the Redbacks on Saturday night remembering that they are the team that beat us in the first game of the year. I always enjoy catching up with Nic Lackovic again.
