Stewart appointed SBL Chief Commissioner
The State Basketball League was deeply saddened with the recent loss of one of the games true gentlemen in John Gardiner, who passed away on May 17.
The SBL Commission has now appointed Andy Stewart as the replacement Chief Commissioner effective as of May 29.
Andy has been a long serving SBL Commissioner and Basketball WA Board Member, coached over 400 SBL games, held a position as the Perth Wildcats assistant coach and is the current chairman of the SBL Referee Advisory Group.
Alongside Andy’s impressive résumé is his undeniable passion for the game and commitment to the SBL.
On behalf of Basketball WA and the State Basketball League, we would like to congratulate Andy on his new appointment as the SBL Chief Commissioner.
