11 matches in 3 days to open 2015 season (Week 1 Men's SBL Preview)

THE men's State Basketball League season for 2015 tips off with a bang this weekend with two matches on Friday night, five on Saturday and another four on Sunday afternoon.

The action gets underway on Friday night with the Perry Lakes Hawks hosting the defending champion East Perth Eagles at the WA Basketball Centre and the Kalamunda Eastern Suns battling the Mandurah Magic at Ray Owen Sports Centre. Both matches tip off at 8.30pm.

It is then a massive Saturday night of action starting at 7.30pm with Goldfields and Geraldton hitting the road for the first round of their double-headers.

The Willetton Tigers host the Giants at Willetton Basketball Stadium and the South West Slammers take on the Buccaneers at Eaton Recreation Centre.

Two other Saturday night fixtures tip off at 8pm with the Lakeside Lightning facing the Cockburn Cougars at Lakeside Recreation Centre and the East Perth Eagles hosting the Rockingham Flames at Morley Sport and Recreation Centre.

The final Saturday night game pits the Perth Redbacks against the Stirling Senators at their new home of the Curtin University Stadium.

And finally on Sunday, there are two matches that get underway at midday with the Kalamunda Eastern Suns playing the Goldfields Giants at Ray Owen Sports Centre and the Mandurah Magic playing the Geraldton Buccaneers at Mandurah Aquatic and Recreation Centre.

Then at 2pm on Sunday, the Joondalup Wolves battle the Willetton Tigers and finally at 3pm, the South West Slammers play the Lakeside Lightning at Eaton Recreation Centre.
