This Saturday night the Merriwa Tavern & Bistro Joondalup City Wolves welcome the Perry Lakes Hawks to Joondalup Stadium for Cancer Awareness Round.

Cancer, an insidious disease, affects 1 in 2 Australians. This alarming statistic tells us that we must all be aware of the risks as well as taking appropriate time to encourage or pay respect to those who are battling or have battled the disease. 

Continuing the legacy and long heritage of the Gaye Mayger Memorial Shield game against the Hawks, this year the Wolves are using this 'cause-related' game to promote health messages as well as to recognise and remember those affected by Cancer.

It was another large and loyal Wolfpack crowd that experienced two terrific wins against the Perth Redbacks last Friday night, and the Wolves community are strongly encouraged to again turn up in force for great Basketball supporting a very important cause.

Wolves Management advise that the Joondalup Wanneroo Relay For Life team will be at the game, promoting their very important annual fundraising event, and a 'minute of reflection' will be observed prior to the start of the Men's game.

Your Wolves Dancers will be in yellow - as a sign of respect, and look out for subtle but meaningful yellow additions to athlete uniforms to mark the game and round's importance.

The Lady Wolves tip-off at 6.00pm.
