Men's SBL Player of the Week
THE week thirteen Men’s SBL Player of the Week has been awarded to Marcus Goode of the Lapa Brazilian BBQ Restaurant Cockburn Cougars.
The big man from Cockburn seems to have now adjusted to the Australian playing style and is becoming one of the most valuable players in the league.
This weekend Goode showed how dominant he can be firstly on Friday night going up against East Perth Eagles centre Tom Jervis to record a huge 35 points and 20 rebounds to guide the Cougars to a 100-93 win.
Saturday night saw the Cougars head to Kalamunda to take on the Eastern Suns with Goode again impressive scoring a game high 23 points to go with 19 rebounds and 2 blocks in 29 minutes to lead his team to a convincing 130 to 94 win.
Goode is currently leading the league in rebounds with 14.4 per game and averages 21.6 points per game.
The Cougars have been on fire of late, currently on a five game winning streak in second position with 14 wins and 3 losses.
