Little joy for Eagles
EAST Perth Eagles men’s basketball team, based in Morley, lost their first away game for 2009 on Saturday night.
They were beaten by Willetton Tigers, 91 to 101.
The Tigers came out fast in the first quarter, outscoring their opponents 29 to 17 and although the Eagles tried hard, they could not breach the gap.
The Eagles women’s team were also defeated on the day, going down to the Tigers 68 to 99.
- The Eagles men’s and women’s teams have home games on Friday (April 3) against Perry Lakes Hawks and on Saturday (April 4) they will play away against the Rockingham Flames.
