Week 6 PowerPlayer of the Week

The State Basketball League has released the Week 5 PowerPlayer of the week awards. Each week thanks to PowerPlay Sports one Womens and one Mens SBL player is awarded the SBL PowerPlayer of the week award. The winner receives a $50 voucher for PowerPlay Sports in Subiaco.

Week Six’s WSBL winner is Rockingham Flames player Sharelle Johnson. Johnson led her team to two important wins to keep them as the only undefeated team in the WSBL Competition. Against the Australian Central Eagles Johnson had 18 points and 7 rebounds, shooting 50% from the floor. The next night against the Senators Johnson shot 19 points, with 11 rebounds and 6 assists again shooting at above 50%. This is Johnsons first PowerPlayer of the week award.

Kalamunda Eastern Suns player Samantha Norwood was unlucky to miss out on the award with her two good games of 15 points & 17 rebounds against the Cougars and 24 points with 17 rebounds against the Tigers, however her side went 0-2 for the weekend.
