Perth Wildcats & Australian Boomers Star Alex Loughton has today been cleared to play for the Titan Interactive Wolves in this weekend's State Basketball League game.

Loughton, a Wanneroo junior, will add a huge injection of experience and talent to the 6-4 Wolves who sit in 7th spot on the SBL ladder.

Club Officials are very happy with the signing and Loughton will hit the promotional trail first thing Saturday morning at the Joondalup Basketball Stadium. Loughton will be promoting his signing and the Titan Interactive Wolves home game clash against the Telstra Shop Success Cougars.

The Wolves have also signed Marcus Moore, an Amercian 2-guard who has joined the Wolves from Grace University in Indiana. Marcus and brother Scott have been with the Wolves for some months now, however Marcus has been unable to take the floor until after the departure of Damian Matacz due to Matacz's restricted player status. Scott has played the first part of the season, and is averaging 10 points per game at 46% from the floor, 4.6 assists and 2.3 steals per game. During their time at Grace University Scott and Marcus started at the 1 and 2 spots respectively.

In other State Basketball League news the league welcomes four additional imports into the league this weekend. The Carpet Court Slammers have added Elizabeth (Bess) Lennox to their Womens team. Lennox is the first Womens restricted player the Slammers have had in their Women's team. Lonnox is Canadian and should add a much needed injection into the improving Slammers Women's team.

The Slammers have also welcomed the arrival of their second Men's US import Vincent James who has been cleared for their clash with the Lightning tonight. For the first time in a number of years the Slammers will have two imports in their Men's team in a sign of the ever increasing competition in the SBL. James is a North Carolina native and will partner fellow American John Smith in the Slammers team.

The Kalamunda Eastern Suns have welcomed the clearance for Joseph Nixon to take the court this weekend against the Wolves. Nixon averaged impressive numbers in the 2008 SBL Season and was one of the competitions better American's. He replaced Ryan Kaminski who was released after just two games with the club. The Suns are at 2-8 and in second last spot on the ladder and Nixons clearance will have club officials breathing a sigh of relief.

The Perry Lakes Hawks Men's team have also had approval for their Men's import, Danny Hawkins, to take to the court for their clash against the Rockingham Flames at Perry Lakes Stadium on Saturday. Hawkins will add some much needed height to the Hawks line-up and will partner Wildcats player Tom Garlepp in the middle.

The Southside Mitsubishi Redbacks have also added Renae Camino to their Women's line-up. The East Perth Eagles have also added US player Sandra-Faye Muller-Garner as their second restricted player to their Women's team. Both players are still awaiting clearances from their previous clubs.
