Great Dane' to Hit Willetton This Weekenend

Southlands Boulevarde Tigers second import is set to arrive in Perth on Thursday in time for the Tigers clash with the Titan Interactive Wolves on Friday night at The Boulevarde.

The Tigers second import is fresh from his season with the Bakken Bears in Aarhus Denmark where they have just completed their finals series.

The 'Great Dane' is 7"2, 143kg Danish born Chris Christoffersen and he is set to hit the court on Friday night in a home game when the Southlands Boulevarde Tigers take on the Titan Interactive Wolves at "The 'Boulevarde" in what is set to be a big night for the Tigers.

The Tigers are languishing at 3-9 in 11th spot on the ladder and the arrival of the 29 year old could not come soon enough for last years Grand Finalists. Christoffersen played at Oregan University where they reached the Elite Eight in the NCAA tournament and attracted NBA interest in 2002 with work-outs at Milwaukee, Memphis, Houston, Golden State & Chicago. Christoffersen will easily be the tallest player in the SBL and will add a huge presence for the Tigers.

The Southlands Boulevarde Willetton Tigers Women will also be in action against the Wolves and will be looking to avenge their shock loss last weekend to the Lightning. Tigers fans will be out in force this weekend in a huge night for the club with Christoffersen playing his first game pending appropriate international clearances coming through in time.
