Local Players Re-Sign with Lynx
Basketball WA and the Go For 2&5 Perth Lynx are pleased to announce the signing of local players Kate Malpass and Brittany Morgan this week.
After a successful debut season for the Go For 2&5 Perth Lynx in 2008/09 and receiving the ClubâÂÂs Rookie of the Year and Best Defensive Player awards, Kate is currently representing her junior club, Willetton Tigers in the SBL (WA). Brittany, fellow 2008/09 Go For 2&5 Perth Lynx debutante, also received Club accolades after an impressive season named as the Most Improved Player. Both players have made their way through junior ranks and have represented WA at Australian Junior Championships. Kate is also a graduate of the National Intensive Training Centre Program (NITCP) in WA.
The signing of local players to the Go For 2&5 Perth Lynx has been a highlight of the program in recent years and continues to be a tradition for the WNBL Club.
See Kate and her Willetton teammates take on the Wanneroo Wolves tonight at Willetton Stadium or against the Rockingham Flames at the Mike Barnett Sports Complex in Rockingham tomorrow night. To catch Brittany in action for her SBL club, Kalamunda Eastern Suns, catch the action on Saturday night at Joondalup Basketball Stadium against the Wanneroo Wolves.
