Tom Jervis returns to the Eagles

The Eagles are looking forward to the return of local boy Tom Jervis who is returning to Perth after playing with Troy University in Alabama, a Division 1 NCAA team from the Sun Belt Conference.  Tom is a 7ft Centre who led his university in rebounds and block shots for the 2008/09 season. 
 
Tom is looking forward to teaming up with the likes of Perth Wildcats and recently announced Boomers Squad member, Stephen Weigh and other team mates from his Junior days. 
 
Australian Central Eagles have a home game this Saturday Night, 30 May 2009 against the Stirling Senators at Morley Sport and Recreation Centre with the Women at 6pm and the Men at 8pm. 
 
The Men have just completed a tough three weeks which has seen them travel to Geraldton to take on second place Buccaneers, then a home game against league leaders Lakeside Lightning followed by the last weeks road trip to take on the defending SBL Champions, SKILLED Goldfield Giants.  The Eagles put on a spirited display particularly in the last quarter but they could not hold on to win in overtime.   This week the Men take on Seventh placed Stirling Senators at home.  
 
The Australian Central Eagles Women will be looking for their third win in a row against neighboring rivals Stirling Senators.   New recruit Faye Muller, a forward from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas will be looking to continue the form from her first game where she scored 20 points, pulled in 17 rebounds, had 3 blocks and gave out 6 assists.
