Committee

President - Tony Corr

I first joined the Collingwood All Stars over twelve years ago when my two sons, Atticus and Finn, commenced mini-ball. We have all been very involved with the club ever since. As a volunteer and parent at Collingwood I have coached over thirty teams and been involved in all aspects of the club from Beginners to Big V, as well as chairing numerous sub-committees. Prior to being elected President I was the Club’s Vice-President and Chair of the Basketball Group.

I am honoured and excited to be serving this wonderful Club as President. I am very proud of what the club has achieved, particularly in recent years. This includes record numbers of participants, extended inclusion programmes, the introduction of Big V teams and the construction of a brand new three court stadium at Collingwood College. I care very much about the Collingwood community and am determined to ensure the values of our club remain central to our decision making into the future.

Vice President - Jason Shell

I first became involved with the Collingwood Basketball Association in 2010 when my daughter Frances began Biddy Ball. My son Josh joined the Mini Ball program in 2014. And while my daughter Milly plays netball (middle child!), she’s a basketball tragic like me.

I have coached girls and boys domestic and rep teams, and sat on various Club Sub-Committees. I am also team manager for the Big V Mens team.

I’m deeply passionate about our Club and the many great things it stands for. Most importantly, I’m committed to ensuring we continue to build upon the strong sense of community and inclusiveness that makes our Club the envy of sporting clubs throughout Victoria.

Treasurer - Julia Jamieson

I have been part of the Collingwood All Stars family since 2012 when my son first started playing Mini ball.  The real strength of the Collingwood All Stars Basketball Club is that it is inner city Club providing more than just a sporting pathway for a diverse range of kids.

I look forward to serving on a Committee full of people that are clearly committed to developing the Club and creating opportunities for all of its members.

Registrar - Chris Walton

After seeing the benefit our two children received from the club, plus all the friends I have made, it was time to try and give back by joining the committee. Our club gives kids, from all sorts of backgrounds, an opportunity to not only learn and play basketball, but to develop as assets to this wonderful community in which we live.

Basketball is all about teamwork. As a not for profit, member owned and run organisation, we can all play a role in making our club stronger- from big jobs like securing a new stadium or coaching a team to picking up some kids who need transport to the game. I’m proud of our club's values. I look forward to hearing your ideas on how we can make a great and growing club even better.

General Committee - Richard Henley

I have been involved in the club since 2010, and have twin boys in domestic and representative teams during this time.

The benefit of sport, and team sports in particular is undeniable - however the welcoming and inclusive feeling that is pervasive throughout Collingwood is an added dimension to this.
I have always been impressed with what the club manages to deliver and achieve with limited resources and compromised facilities
The future is very bright for the Collingwood  and I hope to be able to help assist deliver it during my time on the Committee

General Committee - Ben Lloyd

I have been involved with the Collingwood Basketball Association for seven years through my son Jakub, who know plays in the 18.1 rep team.

I have coached and been assistant coach of rep teams and worked closely with other coaches during this time.

By day I am a lawyer – it this through this work and my knowledge of managing organisations and managing risk, that I hope to contribute to the Club as it goes through the massive transition that the stadium project is sure to bring.

My key areas of interest are strengthening our community connection, assisting our coaches and making the Collingwood All Stars experience the best it can be for our kids.
