U13's WOMEN'S ODD AGE at GRAFTON Grafton carnival saw Ballina's first women’s team to compete in an Odd Age Event for over twelve years. Congratulations, to all the players on their outstanding accomplishment in such a short time. GRAFTON CARNIVAL UPDATE Ballina Association competed at the Grafton ODD Age carnival last weekend, most teams were extremely under strength as a lot of player at this time of the year have family and Christmas commitments. ONE STEP CLOSER At a Council Meeting on Wednesday night Ballina Shire Councilors voted to move one step closer to the building Indoor Sporting Facilities in Ballina. Thank you to those whoe took the time to attend. It was moved to put forward the funding required to have Geotechnical, Environment Impact and flood studies completed. more -->

WARATAH CAMP Ballina players tried out for the NSW Waratah camp a few weeks ago with much success. Ballina players Dan Sirenon, Aaron Lupton and Jake King accomplished great success when being selected to be part of the next stage of try outs for eligibility for the NSW State team.

U12's & U14's GRAND FINAL What a Grand Final night, all games were close with some excellent skills on display. The first semi final between Mighty Mini Magic and Lois Bucket’s Bullets was a very close encounter with only a few points in it up until the last quarter. BOOMERS CAMP COMMENCES WEDNESDAY Australia' men's basketball team will begin a five day training camp at The Kings School in Parramatta tomorrow with South America on the mind.

Athlete performance at the camp will determine the team that Basketball Australia selects to tour South America, with the side departing Sydney on Monday 27 July bound for Brazil and Argentina.

NEW INDOOR SPORTING FACILITIES COMING TO BALLINA At a Council meeting on Monday 6th July Ballina Council agreed that an Inddor Sporting Facility was urgently required for the people of Ballina Shire. Ballina Councillors moved one step closer when they voted to proceded to the next step in moving forward with such a development. This will enable Council to seek funding in the way of Government Grants to assist with this development. more -->
