This will be the second ASPAC Championship for Rebecca, having served as Head Coach of the U23 Australian Women’s Team at the previous 2011 ASPAC Championship, held in Auckland NZ. In 2011 Australia finished with a Silver Medal having been defeated by Japan in the final.
Rebecca is a current player and coach with the Brighton club in SA. She has been Head Coach of several South Australian state teams, including the 2010 and 2011 U21 SA Women’s Teams, winning the U21 National Championship in 2010. Rebecca has also coached the SA U15 Girls team at the U15 National Tournament as well as several years of junior club teams from U8 to U15.
With a Bachelor of Education, Phys Ed. major and Graduate Certificate in Religious Education, Rebecca is currently a Primary School teacher. Taking a break from her studies at the University of South Australian, in 2005 – 2006 Rebecca attended the University of Denver in the USA, as an NCAA Student Athlete with the women’s lacrosse team.
Rebecca has also served in club administration positions and, a Development Officer with Lacrosse SA and was Tournament Coordinator of the U15 National Tournament in 2007.
With a playing career of several junior and senior SA state teams, Rebecca was a member of the Silver Medal winning, U19 Australian Women’s Team in 2003.
