MID WEEK FINALS POSTPONED

Is this the 2013 mid week Division I Premiership team ... we will need to wait another week to find out ??

For the first time in the 2012/2013 season the weather was against us.  Forty eight eager players fronted up at the Woodside Bowling Club on Wednesday to compete in both the Division I and Division II mid week grand finals - only to have the match postponed due to inclement weather.

MID WEEK GRAND FINALS

The Grand Final in both divisions will now be held at the Woodside Bowling Club on Wednesday 6th March 2013. Play will start early  - 12.30pm for a 1.00pm start - with no afternoon tea break, but presentations and light supper to follow.

MID WEEK SHIELD (WIND UP) AND VETERANS DAY

The postponement of the mid week finals means that both the mid week shield match and veterans day will both be deferred.

The mid week wind up will now be held on Wednesday 13th March 2013 at the Mt. Barker Bowling Club. Each club is expected to enter two teams of four. The same conditions as last year apply - with a 12.30pm for 1.00pm start - with no afternoon tea break, but presentations and high tea will conclude the day (with the costs met by the HBA). The match will comprise two games of ten ends (with no dead ends - jack to be respotted).

The veterans match will now be held at the Meadows Bowling Club on Wednesday 20th March 2013. All players over 60 years of age are eligible to enter. Number have been disappointing in recent years - and the event may be cancelled at the discretion of the HBA Executive if there are insufficient entries. Accordingly each club should submit entries to the HBA Secretary at least 7 days prior to the event. Each club is entitled to enter two teams of four - but please feel free to nominate additional teams if you have extra numbers - as those teams may be required to make up numbers. The same conditions apply as for the midweek wind up - with a 12.30pm for 1.00pm start - with no afternoon tea break, but presentations and high tea will conclude the day (with the costs met by the HBA). The match will comprise two games of ten ends (with no dead ends - jack to be respotted).
