Quick Ref’s Tip, pass it on…

Be on side!

After every played ball (Roll ball or Tap), the defense are required to be back a certain distance from the played ball. If the defensive player is not, the player will be deemed off side and may be penalized or told the attacker can run past them (play through is the call). The referee is required to set the distance by using their voice, a signal, or…. The most commonly used, being in line with this distance. So players, it is always easier to use these indicators to be on side as counting 5 steps, waiting to be yelled at or guessing sometimes does not help you or the referee. PASS IT ON more -->
