Bert Williamson was awarded Life Membership of the East Gippsland Football Netball League at the Wy Yung v Bairnsdale Grand Final luncheon in 2008. Bert had served as secretary/delegate of the Snowy Rovers Football Club before becoming League Vice-President and then President. Bert was instrumental in forming the Victoria Police Blue Ribbon Medal Campaign for the Under 18s compoetition. When Bert retired as President he continued on in the role as Police Blue Ribbon Coordinator. Bert has made a magnificent contribution to football in East Gippsland and thoroughly deserves his Life Membership.
