Michael Henry

DOVETON rover Michael Henry is a great story. The man known as ‘Pickles’ has defied his small size compared to most running around the field, to have built a reputation as one of the most destructive players in the league. He has been a Doveton boy all his life, coming up through the juniors, and played in the 2005 premiership as an 18-year-old.
Name: Michael Henry
Club: Doveton
Best player seen: ‘Jussy’ (Justin Hill), ‘Spanner’ (Ryan Hendy) and Davey George.

Hardest opponent: Ricky Clark (Narre Warren).
Biggest influence on career: My parents Kim and Terry and all my junior coaches.
All time favourite sporting moment: The whole 2005 season when Doveton ended up premiers and champions.
My weakness is: Definitely my height.
Most annoying team mate: Michael Laszyzk and his phantom hamstring injuries. He’s just got to toughen up a bit.
