Nathan Head

Nathan Head – Langwarrin F.C. This weeks MPNFL PeninsulaYoung Gun nomination is awarded to the Langwarrin Football Club’s Nathan Head.

At present Nathan is a 1st year U/18 player and is currently being coached by Ben Davenport.

Nathan has played 5 senior games until Round 14 with the Langwarrin FC. His form so far has been fantastic said Gavin Artico, his senior coach. He is coming along in leaps and bounds, and shall be a 200 game player for the Langwarrin FC. The club is very happy with Nathan’s progress to date. Having watched Nathan play last weekend, he is certainly adapting to the intensity during the game that is expected at senior level, as he is a ferocious tackler and wins plenty of footy. He slots in well down on half forward and also has added another string to our bow in the midfield Gavin explained. Nathan said he loves playing at half forward and in the midfield and praised Gavin for his feedback and informative coaching to help improve him to become a better player and contributor for his team.

He has also had a fairly decorated junior career also having played all his junior football with Langwarrin. He has no premiership to his name to date having played in 3 losing grand finals and was third in the U/16 B&F. His U/16 coach, 93 Langwarrin Premiership coach and hard man Leith Gage added that he is a real quality boy, who just loves his footy. He has progressed well from the juniors and I look forward to seeing him play senior footy for many years to come at Langwarrin.

This 17 year old from Langwarrin, is currently employed as a Shopfitter and would like to thank his father, grandfather all his teammates and the club for the support they have given him over the journey.

We would like to congratulate Nathan with his Young Gun nomination and wish him and the Langwarrin FC all the best for the remainder of season 2009.
