Agnes 'AJ' Partsch

Hooray for star ‘AJ’
HAMPTON Park has embraced netball as a big part of its club and developing its junior players is part of that commitment.

The latest nomination for the Young Rising Netball Star, Agnes ‘AJ’ Partsch is testament to the Redbacks desire to rise up the table on the back of its junior players.
The 17 year old talent started playing netball as an eight year-old and, as well as Hampton Park, has represented the Angelz, the Springvale Under 17s squad and the Dandenong Valley Under 17s squad.
She is the current captain of the Redbacks 17 and under team and has also captained the Springvale squads. Agnes’ personal accolades include last year’s MVP award with the Angelz, together with a grand final appearance in that side.
She said the highlights of her netball so far were playing in a grand f and representing Springvale and Dandenong Valley, while her main aims, after helping Hampton Park reach the finals, were to go as far as possible in the game with the goal of playing state league.
Hampton Park under 17 coach said that AJ was a key to her team’s success.
“She is a player with a lot of heart and passion, and she’s hard to keep off the court, even while injured,” she said. “She has contributed great leadership skills as well as being a great asset to the team.”
Club netball president Larry Simpson agreed, predicting that she would be a future interleague player.
“AJ has shown a maturity at the club that I believe will result in her playing A Grade in the near future. I also believe that she has the potential to play representative netball for the MPNFL,” he said.
