Jake started playing his junior football with Frankston Rovers Junior Football Club. Whilst Jake played at Rovers, he represented the club consecutively in the Inter-League competition, from Under 10’s to Under 16’s. Jake also represented
Jake was invited to train in the development squad for Stingrays at Under 15’s, during 2007.
This year he has been selected for six games thus far. He is being recognized as group of best players, being in the bottom age of Under 18’s. Jake also shows consistent performance in any positions he plays, and challenges himself to perfect how he plays, in his football skills and strategically through the field.
The coach of Frankston Bombers Under 18’s has coached Jake from Under 11’s through the Under 18’s. In those years Jake has grown from a little boy to a young man. Jake has shown a lot of maturity, and through that has developed great leadership skills. Jake has always shown enthusiasm and commitment for working hard at training whilst willing to learn more about the game, to improve as an individual and as a team. This has also shown in his life outside football, as Jake is a reasonable student who is currently completing his VCE. This shows a lot about Jakes character to excel and succeed in life as both these areas of his life require 110%.
The season 2009 has been a solid year so far for Jake, playing several games for Stingrays and playing 4 games in the Frankston Bombers Seniors. This has been welcome through the excitement of Tony Blackford who has taken a shine to Jake and qualities he brings to the team. Jake has also managed to get 3 games with his mates in the Under 18’s.
