Round 6 Review

Charlton continue to dominate the North Central ladder and remain undefeated with another convincing win, this time over St Arnaud. At Donald the Royals controlled the game against the Bulls from start to finish recording win number two. At Donaldson Park the Redbacks returned to the form of 2012 when they recorded a solid victory over the second placed Magpies. From a league prospective it was a great round for our representative side with no serious injuries to squad members being recorded and on a more positive note there was a good sprinkle of squad members named as BOG or in the best players for their clubs. This should put a smile on the inter-league coach and his fellow selectors, to have a near full squad to pick from

Round 2 Review

Charlton have signalled that they are going to be a dangerous combination for opposition teams in 2013. In Saturdays round they easily accounted for the reigning premiers in Wedderburn, while the Redbacks were missing some key players you could not take anything away from the Navy Blues who dealt Wedderburn their first defeat since round six of last season.
At St Arnaud the home side made a great recovery in the second half to record their first win for the year. Trailing by 29 points at half time the Saints turned the game around on the Demons and run out comfortable winners in the end, the Demons must have left their game in the sheds at half time as they could only score one goal two points after the long break.
Boort kicked their season off welcoming a fair spread of new talent who enjoyed a solid win at Birchip, recording their first victory by eighteen points, kicking four goals to one in the second quarter helped set up the Magpies win.
Charlton goes to the top of the ladder and remains the only undefeated team in the competition with a strong win over Wedderburn.
