The North Gippsland Football League introduced the Recognition of Service Award in 1999.

The award is designed to recognise service to a Club or the League by an individual.

2004 - J.D. Brady (Tribunal Secretary) - G.Eddy (Tribunal Member)

2005 - B.Cox (Tribunal Chairman & Member)- D.Butler (Tribunal Member) - J.Barnett (Tribunal Member)

2007 - G.Hemming (SUA exec & Umpire)

Graeme Hemming received his award for service as Secretary/Treasure of the Sale Umpires Association servicing the NGFNL from 1998 to 2005. He then continued as Secretary in 2006. Graeme also officiated in 154 NGFNL games as a field umpire, and a further 230 games as a Goal Umpire.
