



Football Umpires History - NGFNL
The North Giipsland Football Netball League has been serviced by a number of Umpiring Associations over the years since 1955 and the bodies involved are as follows:-
Central Gippsland Umpires
Victorian Football League Reserves Umpires
Traralgon Umpires Association
Latrobe Valley Umpires Association
Sale Umpires Association
Today the League is serviced by the Sale Umpires Association who supply Umpires for all grades in Centrals, Boundary, & Goals. A time line of the SUA's involvement in the League is as follows:-
1975 - Commenced Umpiring 3rd 18 games with the reintroduction of the 3rds competition in the NGFL
1991 - Commenced Umpiring 1 Senior game per week in Tandem with the LVUA. Also took over Umpiring of the Reserves & 3rds Competition from the LVUA
1992 - Umpires 1 Senior game per week in their own right plus continued with Reserves & 3rds Central Umpires. Commenced supplying Goal & Boundary Umpires for Senior Games
1995 - Shared Senior Central Duties with LVUA in tandem for all games.
1996 - Took over the full servicing of the NGFL after LVUA withdrew.
2006 - Supplied Central, Goal, & Boundary Umpires for the first time for all Grades of Football in the NGFNL
