NEGHA is partnering the Ovens and Murray Football League to deliver a water and energy efficiency program in their sporting facilities.
The Kicking Goals for the Environment project seeks to combine the football lifeblood of our region with a strong efficiency messages.
To get the message out to the community we are showcasing energy and water efficient technologies throughout our 10 sporting facilities and will pit the clubs against each other in a sustainability competition.
We aim to implement simple, cost-effective energy efficient technologies that can be related to similar technologies that can be implemented in homes or businesses.
Each piece of installed technology will be showcased through on-site signboards and displays and a range of newspaper, radio and television media.
The ten Ovens & Murray clubs have now completed their energy and water saving technology installations. Below is a copy of what each club has had installed at their facility. The League is now planning to work closely with utility companies to gather data on each club and monitor their energy and water usage.
A case study on the Albury Tiger was also undertaken. Click here to view the document.
