John
Salvage
Position: Midfield
John has been around the club for a
number of years and fits into the team like an old pair of jeans. He is a
tireless worker who operates well on any position across midfield & has been
known to sneak up on the far post to score a handful of goals per
season.
John’s commitment and level of
skill was rewarded in 2008 where he was joint best & fairest winner in the
senior side in their debut season in Provisional 2.
Joel Whitney
James
Eichhorn
Position:
Defence
James has been down at the club
since 2004 and is the current vice
president.
After years of soul searching
across the midfield, James really flourished as a football when strategically
moved into the heart of defence in 2008.
Don’t be deceived by the long
blonde locks & headband, James isn’t a defender in which striker would look
forward to coming up against.
David McKenzie
Anush Djatmoko
Phil Ng
Moz
James
Pennycuick
Position: Defence
James has been down at the club
since 2007 after spending 3 years at Beaumaris. Whilst his first season was cut
short to just the 5 games due to a ACL tear, James has fought back through the
ranks to stake his claim on the left hand side of defence in the senior team in
2009.
James’ key strengths include his
work rate & set piece delivery.
Matt Dawson
Position:
Midfield
in & around the club for a number of years but has resumed his playing
career in 2009. Marcus is a silky skilled midfielder who seems to find himself
in the right places at the right time on the park.
Marcus’ laid back approach
regularly deceives the opposing players and his unpredictability on the park is
a key factor in his game.
Sean Commerford
Ken
Kaneko
after finishing his senior years at Brighton Grammar. Ken is mainly deployed as
a striker but has the durability to work across the midfield
line.
Watch out for Kenny terrorising
defences at
come!
James Scott
Jonny Mckimm
Bob Pascoe
Chris Wright
Michael
Woolhouse
Position:
Midfield
After years on the sidelines
through injuries & pursuing other interests such as coaching & his
professional teaching career, Michael returned the club in 2009 and has been a
unanimous success in inspiring the side.
Michael’s work rate, passion &
wizardry on the ball made him the obvious candidate for the captaincy in 2009 in
which he has taken in his stride and made his own.
Ricky Damiano
Jeff Roessler
Jiff
James Lake
David Westey
Alan Fourna

George
Varsamis
Position:
Midfield
George has been at OBGSC since 2007
and despite being well and truly in his 30’s, George has been given a new lease
of life at OBGSC surrounded by his younger
teammates.
George has played a significant
part of his career in the state leagues and his skill and composure on the ball
brings an overwhelming sense of calm across the playing group.
2009 didn’t start well for George,
breaking his leg in the pre season fixture against Caulfield Grammarians,
however we expect to see George back shortly in the
side.
Stuart Dracup
Paul
Bratt
Position:
Defence
Paul joined the club in 2009 after
spending over a decade at Beaumaris soccer club.
Paul’s ability to win the contested

of BGSC in 2009 and beyond.
John

Position: Striker
John joined the club in 2009 after
a short break from soccer in 2008. John is the older brother of a Victory youth

John has made a fantastic start to
his OBGSC career scoring freely in pre season and in the opening rounds. John
has previously played for Caulfield Grammar School & Oakleigh in his younger
days.
