Uniform Policy
All players in the junior competition must abide by our uniform policy to align with our By-laws and ensure safety for all participants on the court. Players must wear their teams’ registered uniform.
Playing tops
- Each player must wear matching tops with numbers clearly displayed on the front and back of the uniform
- The follow numbers can be worn – 0-15, 20-25, 30-35, 40-45, 50-55
- Where there is a colour clash between opposing teams the team mentioned as Team 2 on Stadium Scoring will need to wear an alternate set of uniforms supplied either by their own club or from the Association (at no cost)
- Teams that do not have matching tops will be required to borrow a set of uniforms from the Association at a cost of $10
- Undergarments are permitted as long as they are tight fitting or a singlet
Shorts
- Players must either wear:All members of the team must be in the same coloured shorts
- Their club shorts
- CBA black shorts
- Plain shorts or shorts with a small sporting brand logo, no bigger than 3cm2
- Undergarments, including leggings, are permitted as long as a pair of shorts is worn over the top
- The following is not permitted:
- Shorts with the logo of another basketball Association (e.g. Willetton, Lakeside, etc.)
- Shorts with lines down the side
Penalties
- Referees will allocate 2 points per item of clothing that does not fit the policy starting the 4th playing week of the season
- Players out of uniform in finals – WILL NOT PARTICIPATE
The following is not permitted at any time for safety reasons:
- Jumpers, jackets, hoodies, polo shirts and loose t-shirts
- Shorts with pockets
- Jewellery – players may use tape on piercings
- Hair that is in a loose plait
- Long nails
All players must also wear sports shoes with non-marking rubber soles.
We recommend the use of a mouthguard during both games and training.
Spectacles should be secured with a band. We recommend the use of sports glasses.
Medical alert bracelets are permitted provided tape or a sweatband secures them.
