Both boys and girls teams in 7/8 and 9/10 competitions have been competing at Prospect Park in the first ever High School competition to be held in Launceston by Touch Football Tasmania, and supported by the LTA.
Local teams, as well as participants from Deloraine and Cressy, have been competing since the beginning of October, and for many, they are getting their first taste of the sport.
In the girls competitions, St Pats have looked like being the ones to beat, however at the business end of the season, they look like getting some tough competition from both Riverside and Brooks teams.
As the competitions combine both age divisions, until finals time, the 7/8 Riverside girls are at this stage, looking like clear favourites for the 7/8 comp, and are in fact dominating many of the 9/10 teams!
The boys competition looks much tighter and although the Riverside Gold team are yet to be defeated, the teams running just behind them are improving at a dramatic rate, and just may make things difficult for them in the next couple of weeks.
The competition continues at Prospect Park at 4:10 and 5:00 time slots on Tuesday afternoons through until finals on the 24th November.
The Draw and updated ladders are available in the Juniors section of this website.
