Ball Skills coach course - Thursday 2 June

The importance of mastering solid ball skills and control of the ball is unmistakeable as it denys your opposition the chance to gain points and inevitably enables your own team a better opportunity to score put points on the board!

If you're a coach who's keen to upskill and expand your netball know-how here's your chance to make the most of your off-season for your own personal development.  Why not attend some of our coaching courses aimed at teaching you the best techniques, sharing ideas and supplying you with the right knowledge to be the best coach you can be?  Course content has been compiled by experts from Netball New Zealand and even offer the chance to gain recognised accreditation for your efforts.

The next course on offer is Ball Skills which allows coaches the chance to learn basic coaching points for a variety of passes and develop an understanding of which pass could be best in various different situations.  By attending this workshop coaches will
demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the coaching points to assist player
development in the implementation of a variety of passes, facilitate learning regarding the delivery of accurate passes and implement activities that will enhance a player’s ability to catch and pass the ball.

We welcome you to attend this handy learning opportunity suitable for coaches who have already completed the Player Centred Coaching course and are keen to build on the basics - let us help you add more tricks to your coaching toolkit.

Suitable for all levels – those who are first-timers and those with plenty of years experience seeking fresh ideas.

This course falls outside the compulsory courses that contribute towards achieving the Community Coach Award (CCA) and is therefore considered a Developing Module expressly for those with an interest in attending and expanding their knowledge in this particular area.  Player Centred Coaching should first be completed prior to attending however if please get in touch to discuss options further.

The five CCA modules include Player Centred Coaching, Communication & Managing Others, Team Building, Skill Analysis and Planning.
