Wellington East Netball Club Incorporated
Welcome to the start of 2009 and what again promises to be an exciting new year and season of netball with Wellington East Netball Club.
Wellington East's mission is to continue and nurture its emerging Club culture; as well as being focused on attracting and retaining Wellington's finest netball talent in the region. We pride ourselves in running a successful, organised club and are committed to delivering results to a standard of excellence that enhances not only the reputation of netball and the organisation; but also that of the club members. We support the development of players, coaches and umpires, as well as catering for women of all ages and abilites.
In 2008 Wellington East delivered on its promise and not only brought home the Premier 1 Trophy, but become the largest Netball club in Wellington with 23 teams!

We also had a very successful year with nearly two thirds of the club either winning or placing in their grade, members being selected for reps and for us mere mortals we can't forget the successful club nights with lots of fun to be had.
In 2009 Wellington East aim to go bigger and do better than ever!
Who can join Wellington East?
The club welcomes adults to trial for places in teams from Senior 3 to Premier 1. All intending players must attend trials and the club will endeavour to place every triallist in a team. All team members are expected to attend practices once a week (or twice for Premier 1 grade, and possibly for the P2 top team).
About the Club
Wellington East Netball Club Inc (Wellington, New Zealand) was started by 'old girls' from Wellington East College over 60 years ago. Over the years the club has grown, and now has about 23 teams across the Senior and Premier grades. The club is fully open to anyone interested in playing netball.
This year we are back again with two teams in Premier 1 and two teams in Premier 2, with our top Premier One team being one of the inaugural teams in the national league until the change to franchise competition in 1998. Each year several of our top players achieve representative status in Wellington.
The President of the Club is Dale Wortman (MNZM), and Rachel Morgan is the Club Captain. The Club has an active, organised committee, and we welcome peple who want to be involved in sports administration and management.
The Club have recently become Associated Members with Wellington Football Club and share their rugby clubrooms at the Hataitai Courts.
