Junior Netball Academy – Term 2 2015

Suitable for all girls and boys in Years 5 – 8

Year 5 & 6 sessions are held on Wednesdays from 4.00pm - 5.00pm
Years 7 & 8 sessions are held on Wednesdays from 5.00pm – 6.00pm

Our Junior Netball Academy sessions are designed to progressively teach netball skills appropriate to children of Year 5-8 age group and ability level.  Dependent on numbers attending, players will be grouped according to ability.  Participants engage in active sessions delivered in an interesting and fun learning environment.  For those who do not get to play netball within a school team this is a great opportunity to gain some exposure to netball.  Also an opportunity for those already playing to gain some skill development to further complement their school netball experience.

Skills covered thoughout the programme include movement, footwork, ball skills, shooting, attacking and defending.

Where numbers allow the session aims to incorporate a modified game giving participants to put the skills they have learnt within the session into practice.

Cost: $70 per participant for six weeks

Venue: Held indoors rain or shine at the ASB Sports Centre, 72 Kemp Street, Kilbirnie, Wellington.
