Grand Final Souths Logan 16 beat Springfield 4
Summary
The BDWRL Grand Final was a great match with very good attack and solid defence.
Souths Logan scored three tries in the first half, with tries to Ali Brigginshaw, Melissa Edwards and Renae Kunst, to lead 12-0 at half time. In the second half, Ali Brigginshaw scored for Souths Logan and Theresa Anderson scored for Springfield for a full time score of 16-4.
Jenni-Sue Hoepper from Springfield was named Player of the Grand Final.
In the season awards, which were also presented last night, the following awards were presented:
Player of the Year: Steph Hancock (Browns Plains)
Rookie of the Year: Jenni-Sue Hoepper (Springfield)
Top Points Scorers: Steph Hancock (Browns Plains) and Sarah Walker (Beerwah), both with 134 points.
Top Try Scorer: Tegan Rolfe (Beerwah) with 16 tries.
