Summer Soccer Nominations Open
Nominations for the fourth instalment of the Parkes Summer 7’s Summer Soccer Competition are now open. This year’s competition structure will be the same as previous seasons with 24 teams competing in a mixed competition with each team allowed to register a maximum of 12 players.
As stated above we are again capping the competition at 24 teams only with nominations only being accepted when a team’s non-refundable administration fee of $50.00 is collected with the Team Nomination Form. The first 24 nominations received with the $50.00 fee will secure their spot in the competition, no late team nominations will be accepted after the closing date or the number of 24 teams is reached, which ever comes first, unless under the discretion of the Committee.
Nominations will close on Friday 27 September 2013 at 5pm and must be delivered in person to the NRMA office in Parkes located at 376 Clarinda Street to secure your spot in the competition, please remember only the first 24 teams will be accepted, all nomination forms and information can be found on our website by CLICKING HERE.
The season will start earlier than usual this year to allow Parkes to enter a men’s and ladies team in the Football NSW Champions of Champions 6v6 tournament which commences in March, details on this will be provided once the competition starts. The first half of the season will commence on Tuesday 8 October and will finish on Tuesday 17 December. The first 7 rounds will be played as mixed rounds before teams get split into divisions for the remainder of the season. The second half of the season commencing on Tuesday 7 January with the Grand Finals being held on Tuesday 4 March.
This season will sees a few minor changes made to the rules with the introduction of qualified referees, however some weeks teams maybe required to supply referees. Please ensure that you read through the rules thoroughly and understand them.
