Applications for U14 Country Cup and U15 Ballarat (Southern Cross Challenge) Tour referee positions are invited from all Basketball WA Country Association Members

State Country Selection criteria for referees

 

 

 

The following criteria are used for selection. You don't have to satisfy all of the criteria to be selected.

 

1. CRDP (Country Referee Development Program) member.

 

2. Regular WABL minor round and WABL finals referee for referees in the near Perth metro area.

 

3. BWA State Championship and/or BWA Country Championship minor rounds attendance and finals appointments.

 

4. Local and regional finals referee.

 

5. Demonstrated high performance and commitment to country basketball.

 

Also call for applications from country referee coaches with the understanding that they could go to either venue. Referee coaches will need to state the country referee coaching/training and development activities they have been involved in during the last 12 months. They will also need to hold a current working with children card.

Country Cup:

Date: Monday 14 January- Saturday 19 January 2013

Where: Albury, NSW

Teams: 1 x U14 Boys & 1 x U14 Girls

Ballarat:

Date: Saturday 19 January- Monday 21 January 2013

Where: Ballarat, VIC

Teams: 1 x U15 Boys & 1 x U15 Girls

These development tours are a wonderful opportunity for referees to represent their State. Information regarding the Cup/Challenge program can be found on the WA Country website at www.wacountrybasketball.asn.au.

Applications close on Monday 29 October 2012. Successful referees will be notified no later than Friday 2 November 2012.
