All members are reminded that the local rules require each team to supply a person for table duty, and a referee for their game. It is understood that this is often difficult, but it is the responsibility of each team to ensure this is done prior to the start of their game, to ensure the game starts on time.
In many cases teams arrange with people outside their team, and even their club, to perform these tasks for them. I have witnessed great cooperation between teams and clubs to assist each other. This is great to see in our water polo community.
From time to time, I see teams that make no effort to comply with this rule, rather spending their effort on creative excuses as to why it is especially hard for them. The rule applies to all.
If there is no-one present at the pool to carry out these roles, a player from the water will have to be removed to ensure we have the required officials for each game. If this does not occur, you will forfeit the match.
