Mens Saturday Pennant Results December 1st

Kyabram Bowls Club Results Saturday 1st December.

 

Ky Division One have win at Hill Top winning 3 rinks and losing 1, winning overall by 24 shots. The losing rink was Greg Shilling’s with Les Grills, Rob Sceney and Chris Preddy losing to a better rink on the day by 7 shots 15-22. Peter O’Brien won by 12 shots with Peter Lomas leading followed by Phil Denham and Rob George 28-16. Russell Locke with Kelvin Hubble,Mick Bradshaw and Paul McInnes won their game by 11 shots 30-19. David Cartwright with Steve Doherty, Graeme King and Darren Boswood won their game by 8 shots 29-21

 

Division 2 played Tatura at home and unfortunately lost all rinks by small margins to lose by 16 shots overall. Noel Reddrop with Joe Greco, Gino Scapin and Bob Canute lost by 1 shot in a game that was close all day with no more than a shots a two in it at any time. Noel got away to a 5 shot lead (the biggest lead all day) after 22 ends but lost the last 3 to lose by the 1 shot 22-23. Rob Anset with Maurie Hately,Don Treloar and Peter Kendall lost their game by 3 shots after another close game all day 17-20. Cyril Napier with Bill Hatzie,John Hatzie and John Elliott lost their game by 5 shots after a terrific start picking up a 7 on the first ends then a 1 and 5 to be leading 13-0 after 3 ends they then lost more ends than they won to lose 27-32. Ray Harrison, Mitch Steven, Jim Oliver and Tom Polglaze lost their game by 7 shots also in a close game they were just down 15-17 after 19 ends they then lost 5 of the next 6 ends to lose 16-23.

 

Division 3 played Stanhope at home and won 3 rinks and lost 1 by 3 shots to win overall by 37 shots. The best winning rink for the day was the Ted Hazelman skippered rink of Peter Fry leading, Ron Anderson and Ken Risstrom winning by 24 shots only losing 9 ends for the day, they were in front 21-11 after 19 ends then won the last 6 ends to win 35-11. Bert Saunders and his team Russ Jones, Helen Chapman and Marilyn Anset won by 10 shots after a good start leading 9-0 after 5 ends then kept winning enough ends to run out winning 25-15. Brian Lindsay with Leo Comer, Dom D’Augello and Alan Dunkling won their game by 6 shots after being in front all game. Peter Butcher, Kevin Twigg, Howard Tonkin and Barry Evans lost their game by just 3 shots after being down by 8 shots after 12 ends they then won 8 of the next 10 ends to get in front 25-22 but run out of puff over the last 3 ends to lose 25-28 but a good effort. A terrific win for Division 3.
